I’m an old soul. I’ve always had a desire to know people authentically, a devotion to experience life to its fullest and a love for people of all kinds.

My first job was volunteering as a candy striper at a local hospital. I’ve always had the calling to help. As an adult, aside from my world travel and an incredible career in creativity, I’ve found time to volunteer for hospice.

I’ve long been tethered to the idea that life is short and driven by the adage It’s not the years in our life but the life in our years that matter. Unfortunately, I also found humor and recklessness in ‘I can sleep when I die’. That would eventually catch up with me.

As many do, I’ve struggled at times to understand my purpose. Pablo Picasso said "The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away."

It wasn’t until I became chronically ill with a post viral syndrome that I realized how much my health meant to me. I’d taken my energy and vibrant, healthy life for granted. That’s when I understood, health truly is wealth and without it, I had nothing.

It was during my most challenging days that I committed to helping others. It’s what motivated me and gave me something beautiful to look forward to.
